President and CEO
With nearly 20 years of experience in property development and construction, land-use planning and community development, Scott leads NHO as President/CEO, a position he has held since 2004. During his tenure, NHO has grown from a single-county housing provider into a statewide leader of affordable and supportive housing. Along the way, NHO was named 2008 Ohio CDC of the Year, among other honors.
Scott has a Master of Arts degree in Political Science/Public Administration from Marshall University and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Social Science from Shawnee State University. Additionally, he is a 2005 graduate of Lead Clermont. Scott is on the Board of Directors of NAMI Ohio and the Ohio Federation for Children’s Mental Health. Scott is on the steering committees for The Mental Health & Addiction Advocacy Coalition (MHAC) and Judge Rudduck’s You-Turn Recovery Docket in Clinton County. He is also a member of the Anderson Township Zoning Commission. Previously he served on the Clermont County Mental Health Board, the Ohio Valley Resource Conservation and Development Council, and the Eastern Area United Way Action Council.
He is active in youth coaching and mentoring and lives with his wife and four children in Cincinnati, Ohio.
Executive Vice President and COO
Teresa is responsible for leading and directing New Housing Ohio’s daily operational activities. Prior to her role as Chief Operating Officer, Teresa oversaw the Finance and Administration of NHO as the Chief Financial Officer. Since her arrival in 2002, Teresa has taken a lead role in NHO’s development projects from inception to completion with her grant writing and financial reporting expertise. Teresa has extensive accounting knowledge and experience in not-for profit as well as for-profit in her personal life as a small business owner. Her strong financial background, attention to detail and experience with grant compliance is a sound presence on NHO’s housing development team.
Teresa is very active in the NAMI Southwest Ohio Chapter and serves on their Board of Directors. Teresa earned a Bachelor Degree in Business Administration and has been involved with specialized housing programs and development for over 28 years. She lives in Oxford with her husband of 26 years and daughter who graduated from Ball State University in December 2015, and who will be a first year graduate student at Wright State University in the fall of 2016.
Vice President/ CAO
Shannon is responsible for the financial accounting and administration of New Housing Ohio. She is a 2006 graduate of Shawnee State University in which she received a Bachelors degree in Business Administration. Immediately following graduation, Shannon moved to the Cincinnati area and obtained a position with New Housing Ohio. Prior to her role as Vice President of Finance, Shannon began as our Benefits Manager, working with our clientele on obtaining public assistance, budgeting and bill paying. She quickly gained the skills necessary to move up in our organization as a leader in her department. Shannon is a dedicated part of our team and has been with New Housing Ohio for ten years. Her experience and training in accounting and human resources is invaluable to our organization.
Shannon lives in the Montgomery area with her husband of eleven years and her two young boys.
Patrick has been working at New Housing Ohio since 1998 starting as Maintenance Supervisor and has served in his current position since 2009. He has been involved in housing related fields for over 17 years and, prior to NHO, worked for a local housing authority. Patrick has carpentry certification and oversees the maintenance, management and compliance for all existing NHO properties and new projects at completion. His knowledge and experience in facilities management continues to be an asset to the housing development team at NHO. Patrick lives in the Wilmington area with his wife.
Barker House Coordinator
Bob has been with NHO for over nine years. He has utilized and gained skills in most facets of NHO’s business model to promote teamwork leading to organizational growth. Prior to his employment at NHO, Bob has a history of employment including the coordination of inter-city counseling program for Cincinnati Public Schools, Human Resource management and teaching at University of Cincinnati and Wright State University. In addition, Bob was involved in counseling and program coordination in the State Mental Hospital and a private rehab facility. Bob has both a Bachelor’s Degree in English Literature and Psychology and Master’s Degree in Rehabilitation Counseling from the University of Cincinnati. He lives in the Cincinnati area.
Ronele manages our northeastern counties in Ohio which include Erie, Huron, Sandusky, Seneca and Wyandot. Prior to her employment at NHO, she was employed with Firelands, the local mental health provider. The experience Ronele has brought to NHO from her seven years within the mental health housing field is instrumental to our mission today.
Ronele is actively and professionally involved in the local community which including the role as Chair of the Seneca County Homeless Coalition, member of the Homeless Regional Planning Committee and the Executive Homeless Regional Planning Committee, Secretary of the Tiffin Optimist Club, member of the Community Task Force, member of the Morrison House Advisory Board, Board Member of the Sisters of St. Francis Leadership Team and Board Member of Junior Achievement of Northwest Ohio. Ronele has a Marketing Management Degree and lives in the Tiffin area with her two children.
Stephanie graduated from Ohio University with a Bachelors of Arts degree in Psychology. Prior to NHO, she worked as a case manager for a local mental health agency. She was responsible for assessing client needs, developing, implementing and reviewing service plans, and working with other community resources to achieve client service needs. Stephanie brought both her desire to help others and her strong organizational skills to NHO in 2010. As our Compliance Director, she works closely with both the property management and financial departments to ensure compliance in all areas. Stephanie currently servers on the Board of Directors for the Greater Cincinnati Social Enterprise Alliance. Stephanie lives in the Mason area with her husband and two energetic young children.
Project Development Coordinator
Courtney is responsible for coordinating our new project development efforts across the state. Prior to her role as Project Development Coordinator, Courtney joined the NHO team while in high school as a part time administrative assistant. Courtney’s passion lies in helping those with disabilities live full and productive lives. Courtney earned her undergraduate degree in Psychology from Ball State University and is pursuing her graduate studies in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Wright State University.
Jake is responsible for marketing and fundraising for New Housing Ohio. Jake started his career at NHO with a marketing internship while taking classes at Miami University. Jake earned his Bachelor of Art degree in Strategic Communications and a minor in Management. While at Miami, Jake studied abroad for a semester in Luxembourg.
CTP Case Manager
Brad is currently finishing his Bachelors of Science in Criminal Justice at the University of Cincinnati. After he finishes, he has plans on pursuing his master’s degree. Brad lives in Butler County with his wife and two pets. He loves fishing, Oklahoma football, and anything that will get him outdoors.
Steve is the Maintenance Technician at New Housing Ohio. He lives in Wilmington Ohio and grew up in Southwest Ohio. He enjoys riding motorcycles in his free time. Steve has two older brothers and a daughter.
Bernie’s Place Coordinator
As a Bernie’s Place Coordinator, Maggie is in charge of running our homeless shelter. Prior to joining NHO, Maggie worked with Indiana Department of Child Services as a case manager. Maggie earned a Bachelor of Science degree in psychology from Ball State University. She is currently working towards a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from University of Dayton. Maggie is from Indiana and will always be a Hoosier at heart.
Supportive Services Director
Tosha is our Supportive Services Director. As part of her role, she oversees the Ohio Department of Corrections Returning Home Ohio Program, which supports individuals during re-entry and has been proven to reduce recidivism. Tosha earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work from Mount Vernon Nazarene University. Before becoming employed with NHO, she worked as a Housing Specialist with a local Mental Health Agency. Tosha is also a member of her local ABATE (American Bikers Aimed Toward Education) Chapter 5 which is a not-for-profit organization which supports community charities, including Toys-for-Tots. She also loves spending time in Blanchester with her two teenage children who are both active in school. GO CATS!
Group Care Manager
Dreama is our Group Care Manager, previously Smith House Coordinator, a position she had held for 3 years. She has worked in the Mental Health Field for 8 years, spending 5 years at Solutions. During those years she helped operate a Crisis Line while helping to manage a Group Home of 12. Dreama enjoys inspiring her residents to become their best and likes to build a positive rapport with the community and area agencies. Dreama has been married for 29 years has 2 children, 2 grandsons and a granddaughter. During her free time, she enjoys being outside with her family.
Congregate Living Coordinator
Challie has been employed with NHO since 2008. She began as a Housing Associate, promoted to Group Home Manager, and currently serves as the Congregate Living Coordinator for our Adult Care Facilities in Seneca County. Challie has a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice and is currently working towards her Master’s Degree in addiction counseling.
As Housing Coordinator, Teri assists New Housing Ohio’s residents in improving their daily living skills. These skills help them maintain stability in their housing. Teri has several years experience managing multiple assisted living homes and a group home for the MRDD population in Warren County. Additionally, she has several years of management experience in various retail establishments. Teri graduated from Southwestern College of Business where she studied to become a Medical Assistant. She also completed Phlebotomy coursework and has training in delegated nursing. Teri resides in Monroe with her husband of almost 26 years. They have a combined total of 8 children, and 17 grandchildren and counting.
Women’s Recovery House Coordinator
Having struggled with addiction for 10 years, Linda was able to get sober by reaching out to a 12-step program. Linda says, “The people in that program literally taught me how to live life without substances. Through their good examples, leadership, and assistance, I found a relationship with my higher power that’s made the possibilities for my life endless.” Among those possibilities were obtaining an Associates degree in Human and Social Services with a focus on Chemical Dependency Counseling and becoming Clean Acre’s Women’s Recovery House Coordinator. Linda is very passionate about her own recovery and about helping other women that struggle with addiction. She feels that, with the knowledge of counseling techniques and her personal experience with addiction, she has a lot to give back to the community.
Property Management Director
Aaron manages New Housing Ohio’s diverse portfolio of affordable and supportive housing in Butler, Clinton, Warren, and Preble counties. Aaron is a Cincinnati native and studied finance at University of Cincinnati. With over 12 years of experience as a real estate developer and property manager, Aaron is very excited to be a part of NHO as it continues to grow. Aaron lives in Colerain Township, Ohio, with his wife.
